Who I am

I'm from the suburbs of Detroit, and grew up playing ice hockey for about 15 years. Nowadays I still enjoy ice skating, and playing other sports like racquetball and volleyball. I also love gaming both online and at the table top. Some of my favorites include the Mass Effect trilogy, Destiny 2, and Magic: The Gathering.

What I do

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Michigan - Dearborn. I began my astronomy career there with Dr. Will Clarkson doing time-series photometry on a variety of astronomical objects. Now I work with Dr. Joey Rodriguez at Michigan State where I study the formation and evolution of brown dwarfs.
